Nothing Happens When Buy Button Is Clicked
Download managers or "ad-blocker / pop-up blocker" software may be causing problems. Temporarily disabling these software programs may solve the problem. If your computer is protected by a firewall, please consult your network administrator or firewall documentation for configuration information.
 
   
   
   
   
Avoid Common Causes of Problems With Downloading and Playing Songs
To avoid problems with downloading and playback, please make sure you do the following:
  • Use the latest non-beta version of your browser
  • Disable pop-up blockers
  • Disable firewalls
  • Disable download accelerators
  • In Windows Media Player 11, make sure the following settings are not selected.
    • Rename music files using rip settings
    • Rearrange music in rip music folder, using rip music setting

    Note, even if you don't use Windows Media Player to listen to your music, these settings can affect the Walmart MP3 Music Downloads Manager's ability to insert songs into iTunes and Windows Media Player.
     

   


Find Downloaded Music on Your PC

  • If the Download Manager is installed (Windows XP or Vista only)
    click the "Find" button in the Download Manager window to find a song.

    If iTunes is installed on your computer, the music you download will also be listed in the Walmart Purchased Media playlist in iTunes. You can also access your music in Windows Media Player by navigating to the Windows Media Player Media Library.

    Songs will be added to the default location "Downloads" folder in your "My Music" folder in your "My Documents" folder.
     

  • If the Download Manager is not installed
    We
    will display a page with Buttons you can click to download each song separately. Clicking a download button will present a browser dialog which will offer you a choice of where to download the song. Make sure to note where you are downloading your music so you can find it later.
   


Trouble Playing Music
Here are a few things to consider if you are having trouble playing your music:

  • Does your computer satisfy the minimum system requirements? Review the system requirements.
  • Do you have a Media Player installed on your computer?
  • Do you have iTunes? Our files also play in iTunes
    • Windows Vista and XP
      Your files
      will be added to the Walmart Purchased Media playlist in your iTunes
    • Macintosh and Linux
      Select "File"..."Add folder to Library"
      Navigate to folder where you saved the music files
      Select "OK"
  • Does the song appear in the Media Library on Microsoft Windows Media Player? If not, click F3 in Windows Media Player. Select "My personal folders."
  • Is the volume turned up on your speakers and/or Media Player?

Trouble Burning CDs

  • For general help burning CDs using Windows Media Player:

  1. Click F1

  2. Under Contents, navigate to the help topic Burning Your Own CDs.
  • For general help burning CDs using iTunes:
    1. Click Help menu
    2. Click iTunes Help
    3. Click The iTunes Jukebox
    4. Click Creating your own audio CDs under "Making playlists and burning CDs"

If you are burning CDs using another media player, follow that player's instructions for burning CDs.
 

   
Trouble Transferring Songs to Portable Device
For general help transferring songs using Windows Media Player:
  1. Click F1.
  2. Under Contents tab, navigate to the help topic Synchronizing to devices.

If you are using different software to transfer, please refer to the help documentation for that software. You may also want to refer to the user's guide for your portable device.

Please note: If you have an Apple iPod, you must use iTunes to transfer and manage music.
 

   
Can't Add Song(s) To iTunes

If you are on Windows XP or Vista and used the Walmart MP3 Music Downloads Manager, your songs are automatically added to the iTunes Music Library and the Walmart Purchased Media Playlist.  If you received a message indicating there was a problem adding your song(s) to iTunes, the error was most likely caused by an issue with the version of iTunes installed on your computer.  To fix:
 
  1. Close iTunes (if it is open).
  2. Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ to download and install the latest version of iTunes (free).
  3. When the installation is complete, restart your computer, open iTunes, and when asked, Accept the iTunes Terms of Service.
  4. From the iTunes File menu, select Add Folder to Library...
  5. For XP: From the Browse For Folder window, select My Documents, select My Music, then select OK.
    For Vista: From the Add To Library window, select Music, then Select Folder.

    Your song(s) will be added to the iTunes Music Library.  Note. These songs will not appear in the Walmart Purchased Media Playlist.
     
   
   
Can't Find Song(s) In iTunes
If you are on Windows XP or Vista but did not use the Walmart MP3 Music Downloads Manager, your songs must be added to the iTunes Music Library.  To add: 
  1. Close iTunes (if it is open).
  2. Open iTunes again.
  3. From the iTunes File menu, select Add Folder to Library...
  4. For XP: From the Browse For Folder window, select My Documents, select My Music, then select OK.
    For Vista: From the Add To Library window, select Music, then Select Folder.

    Your song(s) will be added to the iTunes Music Library.  Note. If you want to add your music to iTunes but do not use the Walmart MP3 Music Downloads Manager, you will need to repeat this process after each future purchase.  If you want to add your future purchases to iTunes automatically,
    install the Walmart MP3 Music Downloads Manager.

If you are on Macintosh OS X, your songs must be added to the iTunes Music Library.  To add:

  1. Close iTunes (if it is open).
  2. Open iTunes again.
  3. From the iTunes File menu, select Add to Library...
  4. From the Add to Library window, select Music from the Places list on the sidebar, then select Choose.
     
Your song(s) will be added to the iTunes Music Library.  Note. If you want to add your music to iTunes, you will need to repeat this process after each future purchase.
 
   
   
Can't Hear Audio in FireFox 3
Some Firefox 3 users who upgraded from FireFox 2 have reported trouble hearing audio. To fix this, reinstall Flash Player.
 
   
Firewall Prevents Download Manager From Downloading
Sometimes a firewall such as Norton Internet Security prevents the Walmart MP3 Music Download Manager from downloading your music downloads. We recommend configuring your firewall to allow the Download Manager to access the Internet. Below is the location of the Walmart MP3 Music Download Manager.

C:\Program Files\Walmart MP3 Music Downloads\MP3DLMgrSvr.exe

Once you have allowed internet access to the Walmart Download Manager, click on the Walmart MP3 Music Downloads Store icon on your desktop to launch the Music Downloads Store. Click here to open up Your Account and login to your account. Then select the Songs tab located in the top right hand corner of the page. Click on Download next to the desired track(s).

If you do wish to reconfigure your firewall to allow the Walmart MP3 Music Download Manager to download your music, please use the guide below or contact the maker of your firewall software for instructions.

If you are using Norton Internet Security®, please perform the following:

  1. Open Norton Internet Security and click on Personal Firewall. Then click the Configure button.
  2. Click the Programs tab and scroll through the programs until you see MP3DLMgrSvr.exe
  3. Select Permit All for MP3DLMgrSvr.exe
  4. If MP3DLMgrSvr.exe is not listed here, follow the directions below to add the EXE file
  5. Click the Add button.
  6. From the Select a program window, go to C:\Program Files\Walmart MP3 Music Downloads\
  7. Select MP3DLMgrSvr.exe
  8. A Norton Internet Security window will appear
  9. Select Permit All from the drop down box and click OK.
  10. An Application Category window will appear, select General and click OK.

If you are using McAfee Security Center®, please perform the following:

  1. Right-click the McAfee Security Center icon in your system tray
  2. Select Personal Firewall followed by Internet Applications
  3. This should bring up McAfee's Internet Applications window that lists each application that has either been granted or denied access to the Internet.
  4. Find MP3DLMgrSvr.exe in the available list
  5. Click the Allow Full Access link in the Change Permission To pane (in the bottom right hand corner)

How Do I See Albums Containing Multiple Discs In Windows Media Player?
  1. Navigate to the Library view
  2. Right-click in a column header and select Choose Columns...
  3. Checkmark File Path and click OK
  4. Click in the File Path Column header to sort by File Path
  5. Now the songs in the multidisc album show show up in the correct order (By default, Windows Media Player groups all track# 1s together, then #2s and so on, ignoring disc number)
